In this paper, the parallel wire techniques for determining thermal physical properties including thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity were proposed. The theoretical basis, the apparatus and procedure, the technical data for not only normal refractory but also carbon-containing materials were also introduced.
