This paper takes 230t ladle as the research object, establishes three-dimensional finite element model through Design Modeler software, uses ANSYS software to simulate and analyze the thermal stress distribution of the ladle under the coupling effect of steady state temperature field and stress field when the ladle does not consider the refining to receive full steel. It realizes the visual analysis of thermal stress of the ladle material in the process of using and draws the following conclusions: The temperature gradient at the slag line of the working layer is small, while the temperature gradient at the melt pool and the the bottom of the ladle of the working layer is large.
