内容简介SEM micrographs of the sintered bodies of Alumina A made by the Bayer process and Alumina B by the alkoxide process revealed that high purity Alumina B results in a more uniform microstructure. In the case of pressed powders, fired density was higher when the firing rate in 600 deg -900 deg C was higher. On the other hand, in the case of pressed granules, the firing rate had little effect on fired density.
