内容简介

It is known that the packing efficiency of binary mixtures of coarse and fine grains reaches a maximum value somewhere in the coarse grain weight fraction range of 0.6-0.8, and the viscosity of a slurry of a powder mixture of this optimum ratio decreases relatively because the grain content can be increased in the slurry. But even if grains of calcined alumina having different median grain size are mixed, there is a combination for which the slurry viscosity does not reach a minimum in the coarse grain range of 0.6-0.8. It was determined in this study that the tendency for the viscosity to decrease can be explained by the particle size distribution of the calcined alumina powder mixtures.
